Due to reports of severe storms throughout today and this evening, we have made the decision to reschedule tonight's Coyote Riot Concert to next week, Wednesday, August 19th. This event will still be held at Mount Greenwood Park (3721 West 111th St) at 7:00 pm.


The Chicago Department of Public Health has also advised that they may need to reschedule the insecticide spraying originally scheduled to begin at dusk this evening. If there is storm activity tonight, they will reschedule the spraying for early next week.


I urge everyone to stay safe and seek shelter during severe storms. I hope you have a safe and happy weekend.

We are continuing our donation drive for the Illinois Veterans' Home in Manteno, IL through Friday, August 14th. We are looking for clothing, personal care items, snack foods/drinks, and paper/disposable items. The collection is at our office, 10400 S. Western Ave., from 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday. Thank you.

Illinois Secure Choice

Illinois Secure Choice is a state-facilitated retirement program that makes it easy to save for retirement. Since it launched in 2018, the program has brought retirement savings access to workers in every county across Illinois. Not only is Illinois Secure Choice open to employees who work for an eligible employer, the program is available to anyone who wants to enroll on their own and start saving. The program is open to employers who have at least 5 employees in every quarter of the previous year, have been in operations for at least 2 years, and do not offer or contribute to a qualified retirement plan.
