February 26th, 2026

Dear Neighbors,

Our office invites you to join our 43rd Ward Community Meet & Greet with officers from the 18th and 19th Police Districts. The event starts at 5:30PM TONIGHT, February 26th, and we will meet in the DePaul Arts and Letters Building (2315 N Kenmore Ave) in room 202

As public safety remains our office’s top priority, one of the most effective tools we have is partnership between residents, our office, and the officers who serve our neighborhoods every day.

This event provides a valuable opportunity to connect directly with the officers who patrol our streets, answer your questions on public safety, and hear from Alderman Knudsen about the work our office does in coordination with CPD to keep us all safe.

The 43rd Ward is served by two Chicago Police districts:

  • The 18th District (Near North) — covering areas south of Fullerton and including much of Lincoln Park and the Near North Side. The 18th District includes high-density residential areas, commercial corridors, and significant visitor traffic.

  • The 19th District (Town Hall) — covering areas north of Fullerton and extending into parts of Lakeview and neighboring communities. The 19th District serves a mix of residential neighborhoods, schools, parks, and business districts.

Last year, our office hosted more than 8 events specifically focused on public safety, and 2026 marks our third consecutive year hosting public community events with our officers and public safety agencies. These meetings are part of a broader public safety engagement effort from our office that also includes:

  • Meet and greets with the Office of Emergency Management and Communications (OEMC)

  • Community conversations and meet and greets with our elected Police District Councilors for both districts

  • Summer Ward Safety Walks conducted alongside CPD

  • Support for bi-monthly CAPS and monthly District Council meetings that are held separately from our office

Strong public safety outcomes require transparency, collaboration, and consistent dialogue. These events are designed to build those relationships in a constructive and solution-oriented way.

We hope to see you there!
