June 11th Update

Summer heat is officially here, and the Chicago Park District pools will open on Friday, June 19th for the season and will stay open through Labor Day. Chicago Park District crews began turning on water spray features/splash pads in late May and all 200-plus will be open by June 19th. In the 38th Ward, we have an awesome outdoor pool at Portage Park and indoor pools at both Portage and Shabbona Parks. To view the pool schedules, click HERE.

Make sure to check out Rickover Naval Academy's 5th Annual Rummage Sale this weekend! There is a gym full of amazing bargains and all proceeds benefit the school!

Midwest Express Clinic opened its newest location this week at 3339 N Harlem right in the 38th Ward! Midwest Express is a convenient medical clinic treating injuries and illnesses as well as offering school physicals, lab testing and much more. Hours are Monday through Friday: 8am to 8pm, Saturdays and Sundays: 8am to 6pm with walk-ins and online check-in appointments available daily. For more info, click HERE.
