VOTE IN PARTICIPATORY BUDGETING 2026
|
|
Voting is open for Participatory Budgeting 2026, and this year, we're trying to break 1,000 votes! Help us reach our goal by casting your ballot online or at one of four in-person voting sites by 11:59pm this Sunday, March 1.
Participatory Budgeting (PB) is a democratic process where neighbors decide how our office spends $1 million in infrastructure funding by brainstorming and voting on special projects and repairs. Below, you can learn more about the projects that our 48th Ward neighbors came up with this year and then vote for your favorites! (Having trouble viewing the images below? See the project descriptions on our website here. View a recording of our recent info session here.)
How to Vote
This year, we're using Rank Choice Voting (RCV) which means that instead of voting for one project, you can vote for up to five, ranked in order of preference. We'll fund the most popular projects until we've spent $1 million. Vote online here. Vote in-person at any of the following locations:
- 48th Ward Office (1129 W Bryn Mawr)
- Bezazian Library (1226 W Ainslie)
- Edgewater Library (6000 N Broadway)
- HAIBAYÔ Cafe (1132 W Argyle)
