Feburary 20, 2026

Dear Neighbor,

This week, we learned the sad news of the passing of Reverend Jessie Jackson. Reverend Jackson’s impact was global. I had the honor of meeting with him and working with the Rainbow PUSH Coalition on a variety of issues throughout my career. I know his legacy will be honored and his work continued by his family and the Rainbow PUSH Coalition.

The implementation of the 2026 City budget remains a top priority. I am proud to be a member of the Budget Accountability Coalition. The Coalition of 31 aldermen is organized as a series of working groups to ensure the Administration fully implements the budget as passed by Council. Working groups cover budget topics like fleet management, efficiencies, and revenue from land sales. Throughout the year, the Coalition will hold hearings to provide updates and transparently share numbers and budget projections.

The Illinois General Primary Election is Tuesday, March 17, 2026. Early voting in the ward will begin on March 2 and will run through Election Day. The 39th Ward Early Voting Location is the North Park Village Administration Building at 5801 N. Pulaski Road. The Board of Elections is looking for Election Judges. You can earn up to $230 serving as a judge. Check below for more information and how to apply.
